Dr. Denise Fair Bio

Dr. Denise Fair has had dogs and cats in her life since day one when her parents brought her home from the hospital and she met, Phelps, her father’s police K9. Everyday since then a variety of dogs and cats have been members of the family.

Dr Fair attended the University of Kansas where she received her BA in Psychology. She then attended Kansas State University and received her BS from the College of Agriculture and her DVM from KSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. With both of her KSU degrees, she graduated with honors. Dr Fair has been trained in veterinary acupuncture through Colorado State University.

Since graduating from KSU, Dr Fair has worked in a variety of day practices and emergency practices in Colorado and California, however, “home” has been Colorado. Her love of the mountains, the people who live in the mountains, and the quality of life in the mountains (for herself, her daughter, and her pets) cannot be matched. When Dr Fair is not working, you can find her with her daughter and/or her pets, usually running, hiking, skiing, dirt biking, or floating down some local rivers.

Dr Fair is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr Fair also works for Summit Fire and EMS as an EMT-IV.
